The largest amount of aluminum used in cigarette packaging is cigarette foil paper for liner paper. Aluminum foil paper for cigarette packaging is a composite paper of thin paper and aluminum foil. The thickness of aluminum foil is 0.006mm to 0.007mm. Generally, 1235 aluminum foil (light gauge aluminum foil) with thickness of 0.006mm is used, it is soft and has good extensibility. The aluminum foil liner of each pack of cigarettes has a size of 154 mm x 114 mm. According to the specific gravity, the aluminum occupied by each pack of cigarette liner is about 0.284 g.
The pure aluminum foil is composited with vinyl resin, wax, nuclear paper, etc. to form the cigarette foil paper, and the cigarette aluminium foil paper has high flexibility, decorativeness and moisture resistance. The aluminum foil is generally produced by 1235 alloy, and has a thickness of 6.0-7.0 um and a width of 460 mm, 350 mm, 545 mm, 920 mm and 1090 mm. The quality requirements for cigarette packaging aluminum foil are mainly uniform thickness and small pinhole number, small pinholes size, and the shape of the plate is better. There are more stringent requirements for the surface quality and performance of the gold and silver aluminium foil paper for packaging cigarettes. Therefore, the alloy of cigarette foil paper for this purpose has been developed to alloying such as 8011, 8079, 8006 and so on.
